Pauli Matti Juhani Leskinen, also known as Juice Leskinen, was born on February 19, 1950, in Juankoski, Finland, and was a Finnish singer-songwriter, lyricist, poet, and folk artist. He began his musical career in 1973 with the release of Juice Leskinen & Coitus Int, with the band Los Coitus Interruptus. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, he released numerous albums, including collaborations with groups like Juice Leskinen Slam and Juice Leskinen Grand Slam. Notable works from this period include "Viidestoista yö" and "Kaksoiselämää", which became classics of Finnish popular music. In 1982, he wrote "Nuku pommiin" for the Eurovision Song Contest. His later albums, such as L (2000) and Senaattori ja boheemi (2004), continued to showcase his versatility. He also published twelve poetry collections, four children's books, and four other works. He passed away on November 24, 2006, in Tampere, Finland.
