Kirk Degiorgio, known as As One and born in Stepney, London, is a British techno DJ and producer. His interest in music began at age four when he moved to Ipswich and discovered soul and funk records from an aunt. By 1982, Kirk Degiorgio started DJing in the electro scene. In 1990, his production, "Dance Intellect", was released under the name Future/Past on B12 Records. He founded his own label, Applied Rhythmic Technology (ART), and in 1994, released his debut album as As One, titled Reflections under New Electronica. Degiorgio collaborated with various artists, including Photek and Azymuth, and released notable albums like Planetary Folklore on Mo Wax in 1997 and Elegant Systems on Versatile Records in 2005.
