Transwave, a French psychedelic trance music group, was formed in Paris in 1994 by DJs and producers Christof Drouillet (Absolum) and Frédéric Holyszewski (Deedrah). Initially influenced by new wave and techno music, Transwave released their debut EP Datura that same year. The duo quickly gained traction in the underground scene with albums like Helium and Phototropic, both released in 1996. Their track "Land of Freedom" became a staple at Goa trance parties worldwide. After disbanding in May 1997, both members continued their solo projects under various names, including Deedrah for Holyszewski and Absolum for Drouillet. In 2006, they reunited at the Boom Festival. Transwave released the albums Backfire (2007) and Frontfire (2009).
