Jarkko ja Laura, also known as Jarkko & Laura, was a Finnish pop duo from Helsinki. The group consisted of vocalist Jarkko Antikainen and vocalist Laura Ruotsalo. They gained recognition for their soft and romantically confident singing style. In 1968, they released "Se oli silloin", a cover of Gilbert Bécaud's song. The following year, Jarkko ja Laura represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Kuin tyläinen ennen", finishing twelfth out of sixteen participants. Their debut album, Jarkko ja Laura, was released in 1970. Other notable songs include "Our Song" and covers such as "Rakkah's Rokkefeller" by Esther and Abi Ofarim, and "Samanlainen onni" by Michel Legrand. The duo continued to perform regularly until 1974, after which Antikainen worked in the textile industry. They occasionally reunited for performances. Antikainen passed away on October 18, 2025.
