Woodhands, a Canadian electropop band based in Toronto, was formed in 2005. The group initially consisted of Dan Werb and Paul Banwatt, who met through their shared membership in Henri Fabergé and the Adorables. They began playing and recording together as Woodhands in October 2006. Their first single "Can't See Straight"/"99 Big Ones" was released in 2007, followed by the album Heart Attack on Paper Bag Records in 2008. The duo toured extensively across Canada and internationally to support the album, including shows in China and Japan. In 2011, Werb participated in the National Parks Project, collaborating with musicians Sebastien Grainger and Jennifer Castle, and filmmaker Catherine Martin, to produce a short documentary film about Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve in Quebec. The band's subsequent album Remorsecapade was released in 2010.
