Killed by 9V Batteries was an Austrian band from Weiz, Steiermark, formed in 2002 by Wolfgang Möstl and Mario Loder. Within two months of their formation, they performed live at a Rock-gegen-Rechts concert. Their breakthrough came with the release of a demo that secured them a record deal with Siluh Records. In 2006, Killed by 9V Batteries released their debut album Killed By 9V Batteries, following this with two albums in 2008: Neuhass and Escape Plans Make It Hard to Wait for Success. That same year, the band participated in the Fuck You All action at Popkomm, organized by Robert Stadlober and Patrick Wagner. In 2009, they were nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the Alternative/Rock category. Their final album, The Crux, was released in 2011. The band disbanded in 2014.
