Schwervon! is a two-piece American indie rock band formed in 1999 on the Lower East Side of New York City by Matt Roth and Nan Turner. The duo, who share singing duties with Roth on electric guitar and Turner on drums, began their musical journey shortly after starting a romantic relationship. Their album Quick Frozen Small Yellow Cracker was released in 2000 through Major Matt's Olive Juice Music independent record label. In the following years, Schwervon! released several albums, including Poseur (2004) and I Dream of Teeth (2006), with notable singles such as "Cotton Mouth" (2006). They toured extensively in Europe, opening for acts like Jeffrey Lewis, Kimya Dawson, The Vaselines, and Belle and Sebastian. In 2012, the band relocated to Shawnee, Kansas, and released their album Broken Teeth in 2014 on local label Haymaker Records. In 2017, they released the 7-inch single, "Blood Eagle / Wrath of Angels".
