Fjarill

Fjarill, a Swedish folk pop band, was formed in 2004 in Hamburg, Germany, consisting of Aino Löwenmark, a Swedish pianist and singer, and Hanmari Spiegel, a South African violinist who also contributes to background vocals. Both women had sung in choirs during their youth and met while working in different formations in Hamburg. Fjarill's breakthrough came in 2006 when they were discovered by Michy Reincke, leading to the release of their debut album Stark on his label Rintintin Musik. The band gained recognition with subsequent albums such as Pilgrim (2008), Livet (2010), and Tiden (2013). In 2011, Fjarill received the RUTH - German World Music Award. Subsequent releases include Stilla Tyd (2016) and Kom Hem (2018).
