Waters, a musical group, was formed in 2011 by Van Pierszalowski. The group consisted of Van Pierszalowski (vocals/guitar), Brian DaMert (guitar), Greg Sellin (bass), Andrew Wales (drums), and Sara DaMert (keyboard). The band's debut album, Out in the Light, released in 2011, received generally favorable reviews and featured the single "For the One". In 2014, Waters released the EP It All Might Be Ok, produced by Ryan Rabin of Grouplove. The band was named one of the 10 New Artists You Need to Know by Rolling Stone in October 2014. They toured extensively with artists such as Tegan & Sara, Smallpools, and Magic Man. In 2015, Waters released their second full-length album What's Real through Vagrant Records, followed by Something More! in 2017.
