Twentieth Century Zoo was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1967 from the remnants of The Bittersweets. After moving to Los Angeles, the group released two singles that attracted Vault Records, leading to a contract and a shift toward psychedelic sound. They released their album, Thunder on a Clear Day, which included tracks such as "You Don't Remember". After a tour and the drafting of lead guitarist Paul “Skip” Ladd, the band released one final single and disbanded in 1970. In 1999, Sundazed Music re‑issued the band's sole album and an EP compiling three unreleased tracks originally designated for a second album.
