Щурците, also known as Shturtsite, is a Bulgarian rock group formed in 1967 in Sofia by Kiril Marichkov, Petar Tsankov, Petar Gyuzelev, and Veselin Kisyov. Their breakthrough came with the song "White Silence", composed by Boris Karadimchev, which won the first pize at the Golden Orpheus in 1967. The band's first self-titled LP, Щурците (Shturtsite), was released in 1976 and included the hit single "Give Me A Little Tenderness". In 1980, they issued 20-и Век (XX vek) featuring hits like "Dve sledi" and "Svatben den". The band disbanded in 1990 but reformed in 1997. Their final album, На прага на сърцето (Na praga na sărtseto), was released in 2008. Their career ended with the death of guitarist Petar Gyuzelev on April 25, 2013. In 2017, the band reunited for a concert to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
