Saft, a Norwegian progressive rock band originally from Bergen, was formed in 1966 as Neither Nor, with Karsten Olsen on drums and Oddvar Rørtveit on bass. The band played a pivotal role in the production of the rock musical Hair at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen during 1970-1971. Saft's debut concert took place in 1970, and their breakthrough came with "People in Motion," which topped European hit-parades in 1971. The group won the Spellemannprisen 1973 for "best group" and performed at the Ragnarock festival in Holmenkollen that same year. Saft disbanded in 1974 but reunited for concerts in the following years, including a performance at the Storås festival in 2004.
