Sequal was an American Latin freestyle female duo from Miami, Florida, composed of Angie Vollaro and Maria Christensen. Founded in 1984 by producer Lewis A. Martineé, Sequal released several club hits including "It's Not Too Late" (1985), "Stand By" (1986), and "She Don't Want You" (1986) on Joey Boy Records. In 1988, the duo signed with Capitol/EMI Records and released their self-titled album Sequal (1988), featuring contributions from Stock Aitken Waterman for "Tell Him I Called" (1988). The group's singles "I'm Over You" (1988) and "Tell the Truth" (1988) reached number 11 and number 9 on the US Dance chart, respectively. Sequal disbanded in 1990. In 2008, they reunited and released the single "My Love for You" (2008).
