Clayhill was a British folk trio formed by Ali Friend, Ted Barnes, and vocalist Gavin Clark. The band released their debut album Small Circle in 2004, followed by two EPs and Mine at Last (2006). They toured with Gomez and Beth Orton and gained attention through their contributions to film soundtracks, including Shane Meadows' Dead Man’s Shoes and This Is England. Clark also collaborated with UNKLE on several albums and had previously fronted Sunhouse. Clayhill recorded a version of Tim Buckley’s "The River" for the tribute album Dream Brother: The Songs of Tim and Jeff Buckley. After composing music for Meadows' Somers Town, the band ended with a final concert in 2009. Clark died in 2015.
