Heideroosjes, a Dutch punk band from Horst in Limburg, was formed in 1989 by Marco Roelofs, Frank Kleuskens, Fred Houben, and Igor Hobus. The group gained early traction with their first two albums, Noisy Fairytales (1993) and Choice for a Lost Generation?! (1994). The band's breakthrough came in 1995 when they performed at the Lowlands Festival, and in 1996 at the Pinkpop Festival. Their third album, Fifi, reached the album charts. In 2007, they released "Lekker Belangrijk" as a single and Chapter Eight - The Golden State as an album. The band celebrated their 20th anniversary with a tour in 2009 but announced a hiatus in 2010 and officially disbanded in September 2012. In 2019, the group reunited for two sold-out concerts at Melkweg and Ancienne Belgique, marking their 30th anniversary. They continued to perform at various festivals and released "2020, De Tering!" and Infocalyps in 2021.
