Dobie

Anthony Alexander Campbell, known professionally as Dobie, is a British alternative hip hop musician and producer. He worked as a photographer and skateboarder in the early 1980s before beginning his musical career in 1989 with NSO Force Organization. He achieved significant success after Jazzie B recruited him to produce tracks for the Soul II Soul album Club Classics Vol. One (1989). Campbell made his solo debut with the release of The Dobie E.P. (1995) through Pussyfoot Records. He followed this with his first studio album, The Sound of One Hand Clapping (1998), and a remixed edition titled The Sound of One Hand Clapping Version 2.5 (2004). During 2012, he issued the EPs Nothing to Fear (2012) and ...But Fear Itself (2012) on the label Big Dada. He released his second studio album, We Will Not Harm You, in (2013). Campbell has also produced remixes for artists including Björk and Massive Attack.
