AIRSHIP, a British indie rock band, was founded in 2004 in Manchester under the initial name Astroboy. The group consisted of singer-guitarist Elliott Williams, guitarist Steven Griffiths, bassist Tom Dyball, and guitarist Marcus Wheeldon. After a period known as Rowley, they changed their name to Airship for a fresh start. Their music is often compared to that of Snow Patrol, Editors, and White Lies. In 2010, Airship released their first EP, Algebra, followed by another EP titled "Kids" in 2011. The band's debut album, Stuck in This Ocean, was produced by Dan Austin and Chris Urbanowicz and released in 2011. Notable singles from the album include "Kids" and "Spirit Party".
