Black Legend ist eine 1999 gegründete italienische Gruppe für elektronische Musik, bestehend aus den DJs und Produzenten Enrico Ferrari und Ciro Sasso sowie dem britischen Sänger Elroy "Spoonface" Powell. Den Durchbruch schaffte die Band im Sommer 2000 mit ihrem internationalen Hit "You See the Trouble With Me". Der Titel basierte auf einem Live-Sample von Barry Whites Konzert aus dem Jahr 1990 in Belgien; als White jedoch die Erlaubnis zur Verwendung seiner Stimme verweigerte, nahm Powell den Gesang neu auf. Die Single erreichte im Juni 2000 eine Woche lang Platz 1 der britischen Charts, war auch in Deutschland und der Schweiz in den Charts und wurde in Belgien mit einer Goldenen Schallplatte ausgezeichnet. Nach diesem Erfolg veröffentlichten Black Legend weitere Singles wie "We'll Be In Trouble" (1999), "Legends in the Fog" (2000), "Light My Fire" und "Somebody" (2001) und "Under Pressure" (2002). Diese Veröffentlichungen erzielten beachtliche Erfolge in der europäischen Clubszene, auch wenn sie nicht an den kommerziellen Erfolg ihres Debüts anknüpfen konnten.
