Jenny Maria Ölund, a Swedish singer known professionally as Jenny Maria Silver, was born on January 22, 1974 in Heslingborg. She started her career with the dance band Candela from 1991 to 1997. The band achieved success in 1994 with several hit songs that reached the Svensktoppen charts. Silver's solo career began with the release of Lycklig in 1997 under Andersson Records. She collaborated with various artists, including Totta Näslund and Thorsten Flinck, and performed in musicals such as Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2004, she recorded a cover of "God Save the Queen" with Downliners Sect for the compilation album Rendezvous. Silver participated in several Melodifestivalen competitions. Her entries included "A Place to Stay" in 2010 and "Something in Your Eyes" in 2011.
