Year of the Rabbit was an American rock band formed in 2003 by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Ken Andrews. Following the commercial disappointment of his solo project ON, Andrews assembled the group with former ON touring drummer Tim Dow. The lineup was completed with lead guitarist Jeff Garber and bassist Solomon Snyder. The band independently released their debut EP, Hunted, in 2003. This release attracted the attention of Elektra Records, which issued their self-titled studio album, Year of the Rabbit, in July 2003. In February 2004, Elektra's parent company, Warner Music Group, was sold to a group of private investors who folded Elektra into Atlantic Records. Consequently, the band was dropped from the label's roster. In April 2004, Andrews announced that the group was on an indefinite hiatus. Andrews eventually rejoined his previous band, Failure, in 2014.
