Graeme Connors, born on April 29, 1956, in Mackay, Queensland, is a country music singer-songwriter and performer. He began his career in the mid-1970s, providing support vocals for various acts. In 1974, at age 18, he opened for Kris Kristofferson during his Australian tour, leading to Connors' debut album And When Morning Comes in 1976. Throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, he wrote hits for Slim Dusty, John Denver, and Jon English. His breakthrough single "A Little Further North" was released in 1988 on his album North. In 1995, he won three Golden Guitar awards for his album The Here and Now, including Album of the Year. He also wrote the theme song "Being Here" for the 2000 Paralympics. He has released seventeen studio albums and was inducted into the Australian Roll of Renown in 2016.
