Jack Dupon, a progressive rock band from Clermont-Ferrand, France, was formed in 2004 by Thomas Larsen, Arnaud M'Doihoma, Gregory Pozzoli, and Philippe Prebet. Their music has been characterized by its "scientific-empirical" approach, blending themes and melodies with improvisations. The group gained early recognition through various rock competitions, notably the Bilborock contest in Bilbao, Spain, in 2007. The band released their album L'echelle Du Désir in 2008. In 2010, they embarked on a U.S. tour organized by Transit Music Group, performing at notable venues like the ProgDay Festival in Chapel Hill and Orion Sound Studio in Baltimore. The band's subsequent albums include Démon Hardi (2011) and Bascule à vif (2012). They have collaborated with artists like Magma, George Duke, and Alice Cooper, and participated in festivals including Zappanale in Germany and Energia Dźwięku in Poland.
