Homero Alvarez is a Sweden-based composer and guitar player with lots of different projects throughout his musical career. Raised up in a theater family developing the lust for telling stories with his music. Regardless of writing for a theater play, a TV/radio production, or songs to a band or singer, there is always a history that needs to be told. As a guitar player, he developed his works with the acoustic nylon guitar and had always a big love for Brazilian music. Homero Alvarez's earlier works have been together with many different Brazilian vocalists in the Swedish jazz scene such as Rafa Oliveira Group, Deise Andrade, and Simone Moreno. He also formed the samba jazz quartet Latin the Mood with whom he released three albums and toured to Argentina.
Today Homero is working with his own new septet called Homero Alvarez Sep7ett. It's a group with some of the best musicians from the Swedish jazz scene and the music is an instrumental up-tempo jazz fusion with Latin American styles. In this solo guitar project, he highlights the acoustic nearness of his music.
