The Tenderfoot is an English indie rock band from Brighton. The group initially gained traction with their single, "Still Holding My Stomach In", released in 2002. Notable singles from this period include "Waking Me Up Again" (2003) and "Cowbell Blues" (2005). Their first album, Vale Industrial, was released in 2004 on Sony BMG's 5:15 label and received positive reviews, including airplay on BBC Radio 1 and London’s Xfm. The band followed up with their second album, Save the Year, in 2005. The Tenderfoot also appeared on various compilations, such as the 2006 Q magazine compilation Mellow Gold, alongside Evan Dando, I Am Kloot, and Elliott Smith. In 2008, their song "People are the Problem" was featured on the Independents Day ID08 compilation album. The band's members were also associated with acts such as Brakes and The Modern Ovens.
