The Bothy Band, an Irish traditional band, formed in 1975. The group consists of traditional musicians Dónal Lunny, Paddy Keenan, Matt Molloy, Paddy Glackin, Kevin Burke, Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill, and Seán Óg Graham. Their breakthrough came with the self‑titled debut album released in 1975 on Mulligan Records, which established their reputation for energetic folk‑rock arrangements. In 1976 they issued Old Hag You Have Killed Me, followed by Out of the Wind Into the Sun in 1977, and the live record Afterhours in 1979, after which the group disbanded. The Bothy Band reunited in 2023 for a television documentary and later a full Irish tour.
