Young Rebel Set is a British folk-rock band from Stockton-on-Tees, formed in 2007. The group released their first single "If I Was" in 2009 on their own label Our Broadcast, which garnered positive reviews from the British music press and radio stations. Their first full-length album Curse Our Love was released in 2011, followed by Crocodile in 2013, which peaked at number 88 on the German charts. Young Rebel Set announced a hiatus in 2015. In 2019, the band announced that they were reforming to play two shows at Middlesbrough Empire, but they announced the death of frontman Matthew Chipchase later that year. In April 2025, Young Rebel Set announced that they were reforming and writing new music, releasing the EP Sun.
