Star Pilots is a Swedish pop group founded in 2008, originally comprising members such as Johan Becker, Mathias Singh, Emilio Perrelli, and Petter Isaksson. Johan Becker, a former contestant on Fame Factory and former lead singer of the duo The Wallstones, brought songwriting experience from his earlier success with the 2004 hit "Good Old Stonecake". The group’s breakthrough came with the single "In the Heat of the Night" released on 18 May 2009, which peaked at number 2 on the Swedish singles chart in 2008. Subsequent releases included the single "Higher", co‑written by Johan Becker, Fjellström, and Udd, which achieved a top‑ten position in Sweden after being entered into Melodifestivalen 2009, where it advanced to the second‑chance round. The band toured extensively across Sweden and Norway, supporting larger pop acts and participating in televised music festivals. While the group never achieved sustained international chart success, their 2009 releases remain noted for their polished production and melodic hooks. The members continued individual projects-Johan Becker as a songwriter for international pop acts, Mathias Singh as a choreographer, and Emilio Perrelli as a dance teacher-while Star Pilots remained an active touring ensemble until their final performances in the late 2010s.
