Attwenger

Attwenger, a musical duo from Linz, Austria, was formed in 1990 by drummer Markus Binder and button accordion player Hans-Peter Falkner. Early releases include Auf Da Oim Gengan Di Kia (1990) and Most (1991), which consisted largely of reinterpretations of traditional folk songs played in a punk-influenced style. Their later work developed toward more original material and experimentation, notably with Luft (1993) and Sun (2002). Attwenger has toured extensively across Europe and internationally. They won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in 2003 in the category “FM4 Alternative Act des Jahres.”
