DJ MITSU THE BEATS (born April 7, 1976, in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture) is a Japanese DJ, beatmaker, and music producer. His genres include hip-hop, jazz hip-hop, and instrumental hip-hop, and he is also known as a member of the hip-hop group GAGLE. In 2003, he released his solo album *New Awakening* , which received high acclaim both in Japan and internationally. His representative works include 『A WORD TO THE WISE』 (2008) , 『A WORD TO THE WISE』 (2009), 『UNIVERSAL FORCE』 (2010), and . Notable tracks include “Memento feat. Shing02” “Kotae wa Hitotsu na Hazugana (FULL MIX VERSION) feat. KOHEI JAPAN” (2022) . In 2026, he released his latest single “Kasane” featuring iri, marking a new collaboration. In addition to his work as a member of GAGLE, he has received high acclaim both domestically and internationally for his musical style—which fuses his exceptional beatmaking with jazz.
