Aya is a Slovak rock band from Žilina, Slovakia, established in the autumn of 1992. The original lineup was led by guitarist Mário Tománek, vocalist Boris Lettrich, drummer Rado Pažej, keyboardist Stano Vandlík, and former bassist Vlado Kubala, who was later replaced by current bassist Michal Bukviš. They released their debut promo single, “Baby kakavové”, in 1993, followed by their debut studio album, Aj ty, AYA!?, in 1994. The group subsequently released the studio albums Jé, jé, yéé... (1997) and Try (2000), which established their national popularity with successful tracks including “Malý princ”. Their later recording career consisted of the studio albums 04:10 (2003), Ale ye nám dobre (2007), Siedmaya - 2015 (2015), and 09:30 (2022). To mark their career milestones, the band released the compilation album 20 rokov v zayatí (2011) for their twentieth anniversary and the live concert collection AYA Koncert k 25. výročiu kapely (2019) to document their twenty-fifth anniversary performance in Žilina.
