Aaron Willis, known as Little Sonny, was born on October 6, 1932, in Greensboro, Alabama. Inspired by seeing Sonny Boy Williamson II perform, Willis began practicing harmonica and formed his first band in March 1956. His debut single "I Gotta Find My Baby" was released by Duke Records in 1958. Little Sonny's career included performing in Detroit clubs alongside notable artists like John Lee Hooker and Eddie Kirkland. He established Speedway Records, releasing tracks such as "The Mix Up" and "Sonny's Bag". In 1969, he released his debut album New King of Blues Harmonica on Enterprise Records, followed by Black & Blue (1971) and Hard Goin' Up (1973), the latter reaching number 42 on the Billboard R&B chart.
