Tubelord was an English alternative rock band formed in 2005 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. The group initially consisted of Xoey Fourr, David Catmur, and Olev Saunders, who met while attending Kingston College. They released several EPs and singles, including "Feed Me A Box of Words" (2008) and "Night of the Pencils" (2008), and toured extensively in the United Kingdom and Europe. In 2009, they signed with independent label Hassle Records and released their debut album Our First American Friends (2009), which received critical acclaim from outlets like Rock Sound, DIY, and the BBC. The band's single "I Am Azerrad" (2008) referenced music journalist Michael Azerrad, leading to a humorous essay by Azerrad in Spin magazine. Following lineup changes, they released a second album, Romance (2011), on Pink Mist. The band announced their split in November 2012, playing a final show on New Year's Eve. In 2025, they released the collection Better than Romance.
