Ahumado Granujo, a Czech goregrind band from Prague, was formed in 1999. The group's early work included an EP split with the Slovakian band CAD in June 2000. In 2003, they released their debut album Splatter-Tekk through Downfall Records and collaborated on a split album with Utopia. Ahumado Granujo gained recognition for their energetic live performances, including appearances at the Obscene Extreme Festival in Trutnov in 2003. They signed with Kharanus Records in 2004 and released Chemical Holocaust. Despite their growing success, the band announced a temporary hiatus in 2006. In January 2010, they returned as Ahumado Granujo Revival for live performances.
