Hermann Wilhelm Kopp is a musician, composer, and translator born on August 21, 1954, in Stuttgart, Germany. After moving to Karlsruhe in 1979, Kopp joined the band Keine Ahnung and performed live in Mannheim and Berlin. His early releases included Aquaplaning In Venedig (1981) and Pop (1983), which combined electronic minimalism with pop and chanson elements. Kopp also composed soundtracks for films such as Nekromantik, Der Todesking, and Nekromantik 2. His later albums included Japgirls In Synthesis (2004) and Psicofonico (2007).
