Chronos, a Russian music group, was formed in Moscow in 2004 by Nik Klimenko. The band's music blended various genres of electronic music with classical and ethnic motifs, vocal recordings, and nature sounds. Klimenko served as the project’s ideology, music, and keyboardist, while other members included Alexey Ansheles on guitar, Galina Shchetinina on cello and vocals, Alexey Shapovalov on ethnic instruments and percussion, and Dinara Yuldasheva on vocals and djembe. Chronos released their debut album Steps to the Great Knowledge in 2007. The band also released several EPs including Vargan (2010) and The Day Turns to Night (2010). Subsequent albums include Quid Est Veritas? (2009), Inspirational Power (2011), and a two-part release, When Mars Meets Venus, in 2012. In 2012, they performed an audio-visual concert at the Kyiv Planetarium and presented the When Mars Meets Venus album.
