Quatuor Danel, a French string quartet, was founded in June 1991 and initially composed of three members of the Danel family. The group began their career by working with the Quatuor Amadeus and later collaborated with notable quartets such as the Quatuor Borodine and Quatuor Beethoven. Their repertoire includes both classical music and contemporary compositions, with significant recordings such as Shostakovich: The Complete String Quartets. In 2005, they became the resident quartet at the University of Manchester, and in 2016, at the Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht. From 2019 to 2021, Quatuor Danel was in residence at Wigmore Hall for a double integral of Shostakovich and Weinberg's string quartets.
