Aeroblus

Aeroblus was an Argentine heavy metal and hard rock supergroup formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in late 1976. The trio consisted of Pappo on guitar and vocals, Alejandro Medina on bass and vocals, and Rolando Castello Junior on percussion. The group emerged after the dissolution of Pappo's Blues, with Pappo and Medina seeking a heavier sound. They debuted on January 6, 1977, at the Teatro Premier in Buenos Aires. The band released its self-titled debut studio album, Aeroblus, in 1977 under the label Philips. The group's heavy sound faced significant pressure from the ruling military dictatorship, leading to their disbandment within a year. In 1978, Pappo and Medina attempted to revive the band with keyboardist Claudio Pesavento and drummer Gonzalo Farrugia, but the project did not prosper. In 2012, the surviving members reunited for a 35th-anniversary concert with guest guitarist Gustavo Nápoli, and subsequently released the live compilation album Archivos secretos - Capturados vivos en Buenos Aires - 1977 (2022).
