Coma is a Polish rock band that was founded in June 1998 in Łódź by guitarist Dominik Witczak and drummer Tomasz Stasiak, later joined by Rafał Matuszak, Wojciech Grenda, and vocalist Piotr Rogucki. The group released their first single, "Skaczemy / Pasażer", in 2000 and signed a recording contract with BMG Poland in 2003. Their debut album, Pierwsze wyjście z mroku (2004), earned a Fryderyk Award for Album of the Year – Rock. Subsequent releases include Zaprzepaszczone siły wielkiej armii świętych znaków (2006), which won Antyradio's Album of the Year, and the platinum-certified Hipertrofia (2008). The band toured extensively, supported acts such as Linkin Park and Pearl Jam, appeared at the 13th Przystanek Woodstock, where they received the Złoty Bączek audience award, and released the English-language album Don't Set Your Dogs on Me (2013). Their studio releases include Metal Ballads Vol. 1 (2017) and Sen o 7 szklankach (2019). The group suspended its activity in 2019 but returned to the stage after voter turnout in the 2023 Polish parliamentary election surpassed the threshold the band had set for a reunion. Coma subsequently returned for a series of concerts, including an appearance at the 30th Pol'and'Rock Festival in 2024. A recording of the performance was released as Coma Live Pol'and'Rock Festival 2024 in 2025.
