Dominig Bouchaud, born in 1957 in Nantes, France, is a harpist known for his work in classical and traditional Breton music. He studied at the Conservatoire Régional de Nantes and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, winning first prize in harp from the CNSM in 1978. Bouchaud's focus shifted to the Celtic harp after participating in the Kan Ar Bobl festival in 1979, leading him to preserve and reconstruct traditional Breton repertoire. He performed at notable events like the World Harp Congress in Maastricht (1983) and released albums including L'art de la harpe à la Renaissance (1984) and Vibrations (1987). Bouchaud's compositions, such as Discorde (1985), won first prize at the international competition in Dinan. He taught at the Conservatoire de Quimper and developed educational methods for traditional harp playing.
