Winston Reedy is a Jamaican reggae singer born on July 13 1950 in Saint Catherine Parish Jamaica. He joined the band Cimarons in 1970 before starting a solo career. After going solo, Reedy was crowned Britain's best reggae singer for three consecutive years. His hits included “Paradise in Your Eyes”, “Moi Emma Oh”, and “Dim the Lights” (1983). Throughout a career in the lovers rock and dancehall styles, he collaborated with artists such as Vin Gordon, Joseph Cotton, and Mafia & Fluxy. Reedy performed at the New Year's Eve Gala – Lovers Rock event in 2005. In 2012, he appeared at the Respect Jamaica 50 series of concerts alongside U Roy, Yellowman, and Tappa Zukie to celebrate Jamaican independence. His later album releases included Make a Change (2012) and Badaration (2013).
