Cripper was a German thrash metal band from Hannover formed in 2005 by guitarists Christian Bröhenhorst and Jonathan Stenger. The original ensemble was completed by vocalist Britta Görtz, bassist Erik Hess, and drummer Dennis Weber. They performed their first concert in September 2005 and released their debut EP, Killer Escort Service, in 2006. They issued their first studio album, Freak Inside (2007), followed by Devil Reveals (2009). The group toured Europe with the band Overkill in 2010 and released their third album, Antagonist (2012). After signing with Metal Blade Records in 2014, they released Hyëna (2014) and Follow Me: Kill! (2017). The band announced their dissolution in 2018, citing a lack of motivation and diverging musical interests among the members. They performed their final concert on 23 June 2018 in Hannover before disbanding.
