Elektryczne Gitary, a Polish rock band formed in Warsaw in 1989 by Rafał Kwaśniewski, Piotr Łojek, and Kuba Sienkiewicz, gained popularity with their humorous, satirical lyrics and self-deprecating irony. Most of the band's repertoire was written by Sienkiewicz, who became the group's frontman and leader. They released their debut studio album Wielka radość in 1992 through Zic Zac, featuring hits such as "Jestem z miasta" and "Przewróciło się". In 1996, they signed with PolyGram Polska and released the live album Chałtury, recorded during two concerts in Warsaw. The band also recorded music for several Polish films, most notably Kiler (1997) and Kariera Nikosia Dyzmy (2002), with the soundtrack to Kiler becoming one of the best-selling Polish film soundtracks. They continued releasing albums in the following decades, including Atomistyka (2006), Historia (2010), Nic mnie nie rusza (2012), and 2020 (2020). They release the single "I droga starczy za cel", in April 2024.
