Zorán Sztevanovity was born on 4 March 1942 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and is a Hungarian singer, guitarist, composer, and performer of Serbian origin. He moved with his family to Hungary in 1947 and began his musical career in the 1960s as the frontman of the pioneering beat group Metro, one of Hungary’s most influential rock bands. After Metro disbanded in 1972, he launched a successful solo career, becoming known for his introspective songs and collaborations with lyricist and brother Dusán Sztevanovity. His albums include Zorán (1977), Zorán II (1978), Zorán III (1979), Tizenegy dal (1982), and Az élet dolgai (1991). He has received numerous honors, including the Liszt Ferenc Prize (1982), the Kossuth Prize (2006), and the Prima Primissima Prize (2006).
