Gina Jacobi

Catarina Göransson, known professionally as Gina Jacobi, is a Swedish singer, songwriter, and record producer born in Hammerdal, Jämtland County, Sweden. Her musical career began in 1984 with the group Rummet, which released the album Bagateller. She then pursued a solo career, releasing her first solo album Tid & rum in 1986. Jacobi's popularity was probably greatest in the 1990s when she came to compare with music colleagues like Eva Dahlgren and Kate Bush. In connection with the album På jakt efter solen (1988), she was nominated for a Grammis as the best female artist of the year. She worked as a producer for other artists and released the album Ömtåligt gods in 2009. Other notable album releases included Gå som på nålar (1989), Det här är bara början (1992), and Alla är (1995).
