Savvas Ysatis, born 1 July 1968 in Athens, Greece, is a Greek electronic musician who later relocated to New York City at age 15. He first emerged under the moniker Omicron, releasing the Symbolis EP in 1993 and the album Acrocosm in 1994 on Instinct. In 1995, he issued The Generation and Motion of a Pulse, followed by Globetrotter (1996) and Electronic Dance Music (1997). Collaborations with Taylor Deupree produced the ambient project Seti and the trip‑hop act Futique, while the dance‑oriented Arc released 12K (1996). In 1997, Ysatis returned to Athens, founded the Sonar label, and launched the Allou project, which secured a deal with V2.
