Christiane Weber, born on August 17, 1975, in Essen, Germany, was a singer known for her work in jazz and cabaret. She completed a Master's degree in Theater Studies at Ruhr University Bochum and began performing with guitarist Volker Niehuesmann during her studies. In the late 1990s, Weber collaborated with various artists, including Eddie Nünning and Timm Beckmann, forming the duo Weber-Beckmann from 1997 to 2009. Together they released several albums such as Himmelhochjauchzend zu Tode verliebt (1999) and Kurz vor unendlich (2003). Weber also ventured into children's music with the album Krümelmucke in 2009. Her notable achievements include winning the Federal Singing Competition Sponsorship prize in Berlin (2001), the Cabaret Prize of the City of Schwerte (2002), and the Audience Award of the Tuttlingen Crow (2002). She passed away on June 8, 2012, after an illness, having continued work on Krümelmucke 2, which was released posthumously in December 2012.
