Hearts and Flowers was a folk rock band from Los Angeles consisting ofb Larry Murray (vocals, guitar), Dave Dawson (vocals, guitar, autoharp), and Rick Cunha (vocals, guitar). They met during weekly jam sessions at the Troubador club. Their unique sound blended traditional country hillbilly music with influences from artists like Merle Haggard and The Beatles. In 1967, Hearts and Flowers released their debut album Now Is The Time For Hearts And Flowers under Folk World Records. Rick Cunha left in 1967 and was replaced by Bernie Leadon for the second album Of Horses - Kids - And Forgotten Women, released in 1968. Hearts and Flowers disbanded later that year due to creative differences.
