Born in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 1978, Burabeeh (real name Mohammed Ali Abdulla Mohammed Al Marzooqi) is more than just a musician—he’s a storyteller, an artist, and a dreamer who paints with sound. His music isn’t just heard; it’s felt, experienced, and lived. With a sound that defies traditional genres, he fuses alternative, ambient, and experimental elements, crafting a universe where emotions take center stage.
Burabeeh’s artistic journey started early. At 14, he won his first art prize, but his love for creation didn’t stop there. A surrealist at heart, he was drawn to the dreamlike and the unconventional, a theme that bleeds into every note he plays and every canvas he touches. He pursued journalism and psychology, which shaped his understanding of human emotions and behavior—something that deeply resonates in his music and writing.
Relocating to Umm Al Quwain, Burabeeh finally let his creativity run wild. He started releasing music that blurred the lines between genres, gaining a devoted following of listeners who connected with his raw, poetic storytelling. His debut album, Daydream Mutant, dropped in 2025, a deeply personal exploration of love, struggle, and transformation. With tracks like "Dee Dee," "Toxic," and "Habanera Groove," Burabeeh delivered soundscapes that felt like stepping into a lucid dream—sometimes haunting, sometimes euphoric, but always unforgettable.
Beyond music, Burabeeh is a writer and surrealist visual artist. His books explore deep psychological and cultural themes, while his surrealist paintings, inspired by Salvador Dalí, earned him the Dubai Art Centre Surreal Art Award in 2011. He even took his artistic vision to film, directing The UAE Soldier, a superhero short film that premiered at the Dubai SIKKA Art Fair.
Never one to conform, never one to play it safe—Burabeeh is a pioneer in the independent Emirati music and art scene, proving that creative freedom isn’t just a choice; it’s a way of life. With a bold plan to release four albums in 2025, he’s set to make waves that ripple far beyond the UAE, challenging perceptions and breaking barriers.
For Burabeeh, art isn’t just about sound or visuals. It’s about emotions, stories, and the dreams we carry with us. And through his work, he invites us all to step inside his world—where nothing is ordinary, and everything is possible.
