Darzamat are a Polish black metal ensemble from Katowice formed in 1995. The group was established by vocalist Flauros and guitarist Simon. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style incorporating symphonic and gothic elements. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording In the Flames of Black Art (1997) and the extended play In the Opium of Black Veil (1999). Their discography includes the studio recordings Oniriad (2003) and Semidevilish (2004). They achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Transkarpatia (2005), produced by Andy LaRocque, which led to performances at festivals including Metalmania. The ensemble released the video recording Live Profanity (Visiting the Graves of Heretics) (2007). In 2009, they signed with Massacre Records and released the studio recording Solfernus' Path (2009), which featured the tracks “The King of the Burning Anthems” (2009), “Pain Collector” (2009), and “Chimera” (2009). After becoming inactive in 2011, they resumed activity in 2019 and released the studio recording A Philosopher at the End of the Universe (2020).
