Bullet LaVolta, an American alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusets, was formed in 1987 by Clay Tarver, Corey “Loog” Brennan, and Bill Whelan. The group initially gained traction as an opening act for Henry Rollins before releasing their debut EP Bullet LaVolta in 1988 through Taang! Records. Their first full-length album, The Gift, followed in 1989 on the same label. In 1990, Bullet LaVolta signed with RCA Records and released the EP Gimme Danger. The band's final studio album, Swandive, was produced by Dave Jerden and released in 1991. Bullet LaVolta disbanded at the end of 1992.
